Mudditt, B. Howard - The Horizon. Vol. 1. numbers 1 to 12 (November 1934 to October 1935) bound in hardback. A piece of publishing history. These are the original magazines Mudditt published just before he founded The Paternoster Press. In addition the volume carries an inscription: "To: H. Thorpe Esq., with the Editor's Compliments & thanks" with a date stamp of 25 DEC 1935. Harold Thorpe conducted the monthly puzzle pages and this would appear to be a presentation volume to him. 'The Horizon' was a Christian magazine also carrying interesting contemporary general articles aimed at young people. Illustrated with monochome photographs and drawings. Spine sunned, 4 white spots near top-spine-corner of front-board and a white mark to lower edges of both boards near front, inscription, front edge of page 17/18 scrunged, 1 crossword completed, good, solid, clean copy (no wrapper).
