Eden, Dorothy: Afternoon Walk.

Eden, Dorothy - Afternoon Walk. The Book Club, not dated, early '70s? A woman kidnapped and believed to have been driven through the streets of their own tidy little English town; this and police questioning set the neighbourhood by the ears during these hot, brooding days of early summer. But it was the atmosphere of her own home which most upset Ella: threatening messages from an unknown telephone caller, the feeling of being under surveillance and, above all, her husband's contention that she was showing herself incresingly fanciful, forgetful, not careful enough of their little daughter. Was she so changed, or was it her husband who was changed? (wrapper flap). 7½" x 5", 192pp, grey cloth, hardback. Very good complete with good (small tears/edge-chips) wrapper.
