Blackmore, R. D. - Lorna Doone. Chambers, not dated, inscribed 1912? 10½" x 7½", 634pp plus 13 plates, dark blue-black buckram blocked in gold and printed (I think) with a colour illustration, hardback. Top-edge gilt. Illustrated with 13 colour plates, and 46 monochrome drawings within the text by Gordon Browne. Edge-wear/fading; front-free endpaper and title-page loose (joined together); two inscriptions at top of half-title (1912? and 1938); imbossed stamp at top of front-free endpaper; 2" x 2½" newspaper cutting pasted to front paste-down (relevant to story); slightly sunned spine; hinges weak; cover illustration a little rubbed; small scratch on back-board; good; no wrapper.
