Merry Hearts series. 10" x 8", 88pp, quarter red cloth, paper covered boards, front colour illustrated (2 young girls carrying a boy ashore from a rowing boat), hardback. Illustrated with a mounted colour frontispiece and throughout the text with period monochrome drawings.

Tiny nick to spine cloth; corner wear; slight edge wear; Xmas inscription on front-free endpaper; front-free endpaper and mount with frontispiece loose; held by webbing only at title-page; the odd bit of foxing; slight page-edge browning; 1½" tear to top-margin of page 29/30; good, bright copy; no wrapper.
