Wevill, Lilian F. - Betty's First Term: A School Story. Blackie, not dated, inscribed 1922 [1908?]. This is a cut above your average girl's school story in that it's much more realistic than its contemporaries. 7½" x 5", 288pp plus 6 plates (all present but most misbound but within a few pages of the contents list), purplish-red buckram, pictorially blocked, hardback. Illustrated in monochrome with 6 plates by Arthur H. Buckland. Variable, slight, sunning to back-board; very slight rubs to boards; very slight edge-wear; endpaper browning; prize-plate on front-free endpaper; the odd fox spot(s); good, reasonably solid, clean copy complete with poor (very heavy edge-wear/creases/splitting, piece missing from hed of spine, 'dusty', sunned spine) wrapper.
